This historic election is one week away, and everyone is talking about who they are for this November 4th. But the real question is - who is for you? Who is for your family and your future?
We know Hawaii families cannot afford four more years of the failed Bush policies. This is our chance to take America in a new direction. That is why it is essential we have an advantage in Hawaii heading into Election Day.
Early voting is fast, easy, and it could make the difference. As of last week, at least 2.2 million people had already cast their ballots nationwide. In Hawaii, many people think that their vote doesn't count. In fact, as a state we have one of the lowest voter turnouts. That is why I encourage you to vote early and see if you can get friends and family to vote early with you. This November 4th we need to vote for progressive leaders on every level and turn out the highest possible percentage for Senator Obama.
President Bush voted early last week for John McCain, but he isn't the only one that can vote early. So can you. Early voting sites are open on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island. I urge you to make your voice heard and make your vote count.
